KRAKOW TO WARSAW

In Remembrance
Depart Krakow with your private driver and transfer to Warsaw, stopping at the Auschwitz-Birkenau Memorial and Museum en-route. Auschwitz holds a somber place in history as a symbol of the horrors of terror, genocide, and the Holocaust. It was this site that bore witness to the "final solution of the Jewish question in Europe" from the spring of 1942 until the fall of 1944, where countless transport trains brought Jewish citizens from all over Nazi-occupied Europe to the camp's gas chambers. The former largest Nazi extermination camp now stands as a solemn reminder of one of the largest genocides in human history. It is meticulously preserved and is now home to the Holocaust Museum, recognized as a UNESCO Heritage site. Today's tour begins with a 15-minute documentary, providing an informative introduction to the history of the site. Following this, explore the brick-mortar barracks in Auschwitz I and the extensive area of the large wooden extermination camp at Auschwitz II – Birkenau. The day concludes with a transfer to Warsaw. Please note, due to local regulations in Auschwitz -Birkenau, you will be joining a shared group tour led by an Auschwitz guide.
