A Journey Back in Time
Walk through the heart of Athens with your private guide, beginning at the UNESCO-listed Acropolis, where marble pathways, weathered columns, and open views over the city bring ancient Athens into sharp focus. A short transfer brings you to the base of the hill, passing landmarks such as the Temple of Olympian Zeus, Hadrian’s Arch, and the Panathenaic Stadium along the way. On the Acropolis, explore the Parthenon, Erechtheion, and surrounding monuments as your guide reveals their role in shaping Greek art, religion, and civic life. Continue to the Acropolis Museum, where original sculptures and artifacts deepen the story with context and clarity. The experience winds down with a walk through Plaka’s narrow streets, returning on foot at your own pace.
As evening settles, make your own way through Athens with a few well-chosen rooftop and cocktail bar suggestions to suit your mood. A for Athens offers the classic view over Monastiraki, while Attic Urban Rooftop brings a more relaxed terrace setting. After dinner, shift from skyline to cocktails at The Clumsies, set in a neoclassical townhouse, or The Bar in Front of the Bar, known for its playful streetside scene and ice-cold drinks. These are a few of our favorites, with plenty of room to follow the night where it leads.

Visit the remains of the ancient Greek Temple of Poseidon, one of the major archeological monuments of the Golden Age, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the sea and surrounding islands. The temple dates to the same period as the Acropolis in nearby Athens and features a portico with Doric columns set on a cliff overlooking the sea.

The Great Pyramids of Giza are the best-known pyramids in Egypt, but the step pyramid of Saqqara pre-dates the Giza complex by several centuries. Meet with your private Egyptologist guide and head to the ancient capital of Memphis, which lies 12 miles from Cairo on the west bank of the Nile. The UNESCO World Heritage Site is an open-air museum of the ruins. At Saqqara, see the oldest complete stone building complex known in history, the Pyramid of Djoser, featuring an early example of step pyramid construction that functioned as a non-royal burial complex for millennia. The structure was an early prototype of pyramid construction dating back to the 3rd Dynasty of the Egyptian Old Kingdom. Next, visit the Dashur pyramids, which consists of two important Egyptian monuments, the Bent and Red Pyramids. Located just south of Cairo, these two unique monuments are among the oldest and largest preserved structures in all of Egypt. Created by the Pharaoh Snofru, the father of Khufu, the Bent pyramid is said to have such a unique shape due to an engineering crisis during its period of construction. The second attempt resulted in the world's first smooth-sided pyramid, Snofru's Red Pyramid, renowned for its sheer size and red-colored limestone facade.
Relax and enjoy a buffet lunch at a local restaurant, including a choice of a small bottle of water, soft drink, tea or coffee.
For a unique private dinner experience board an oriental felucca boat and immerse yourself in the rich cultural heritage of Cairo as you cruise down the mighty River Nile. After being transferred to the pier, board your boat for the evening and enjoy an unforgettable night on the Nile. Your personal waiter serves you a 3-course dinner as you take in the glistening skyline of Cairo at night. The imposing hotels, bridges and the river itself provide an enchanting setting for tonight’s experience. Indulge in the delicious cuisine, enjoy the onboard entertainment and expose your senses to Cairo’s undeniable charms. After arriving back at the dock, you will be transferred back to your accommodation.
