A Walk Through the Past
Meet your private driver for a transfer into the city center of Dubrovnik, from where you'll set out on foot with your private guide for a walking tour of one of the most beautiful stone-built cities in the world. More than a thousand-year history is reflected in every part of the town. As one of UNESCO World Heritage Sites, Dubrovnik owes its special charm to the historic monuments which testify to its rich history. While strolling with your guide down Stradun, the main street, pause for a visit of the Franciscan monastery of the Order of Friars Minors, preserving one of the three oldest pharmacies in all of Europe. Continue down to the 15th century knight statue known as the Orlando Column, and the 16th century Sponza Palace, then visit the Church of St. Blasius, dedicated to the patron-saint of the town. You'll also discover the medieval Rector’s Palace, the magnificent structure of the dukes of Dubrovnik, and the Cathedral of the Virgin Mary, home to originals by Tiziano and Rafaelo among other valuable relics. Afterward, you'll part ways with your guide for some time at leisure to explore this stunning town on your own, allowing you to discover some local curiosities nestled in the intricate network of the cobblestone streets. Perhaps take a walk along the city walls (1.5 miles around the old town), visit one of the numerous museums, or take a funicular ride to the top of the Mount Srd. Afterward, make your way back to the hotel independently.
Panoramic views unfold from the summit of Mount Srd, where Dubrovnik’s Old Town rooftops, Lokrum Island, and the Adriatic Sea glow as the light softens toward sunset. Ride the cable car independently and linger at the top, with time to enjoy a drink at Panorama Restaurant & Bar, paid locally. Cable car tickets can be arranged in advance by your Destination Expert.

Hidden Gems
Set out with your private guide and driver for an unforgettable excursion to the Dubrovnik Hinterland – the region of Konavle. Home to exceptional beauty, Konavle boasts mountains and valleys, green hills and naked stone, and cozy coves towards small fishing villages. Your first stop is to the ancient Mediterranean town of Cavtat, a former Roman colony. Join your guide for a stroll through this picturesque little town, its cobbled streets, traditional red-roofed houses, and narrow stairways providing plenty of charm. Wander uphill to discover the extraordinary Mausoleum of Racic Family, a work of Ivan Mestrovic, the most prominent Croatian sculptor. After your walk, the adventure continues to the countryside of Konavle. In the village of Cilipi, you will be welcomed by a local family on their humble rural estate of Bakicevo. Enjoy their hospitality in a unique ambiance of a traditional stone-built house. Your hosts will take you around their garden where they grow various sorts of vegetables in an old-fashioned way. The ingredients that will be used for your lunch today come from their garden. With the alluring scents of the local cuisine, your hosts will prepare the traditional Dalmatian specialty of peka – food prepared under the iron bell, for you. After this delicious lunch, your guide and driver will take you back to your hotel.
