Here we Go!
Meet your private English-speaking assistant outside of airport customs. Waiting with a sign with your name on it, they will direct you to your awaiting private transfer, and accompany you to your hotel for check-in.
A Welcome Package with a copy of your itinerary, tickets (if relevant), and any other information that we deem you may find useful, will be provided to you in destination.

Treasures and Pleasures
With a private guide, depart from your hotel on foot for a half-day walking tour to visit Amsterdam's famous Van Gogh Museum. Located at Museum Square, the Van Gogh Museum has the world's largest collection and display of works by renowned Dutch painter Vincent Van Gogh. As you walk, learn about the city sights you pass along the way, while gaining a more in-depth background on this miraculously unique, misunderstood and tortured soul, ranging from his mental health to the bizarre circumstances surrounding his death. Arriving to the museum, spend the next few hours discovering the impressive works on display, reveling in the post-impressionistic prowess of paintings like The Potato Eaters (1885), Sunflowers (1889), and Self-Portrait (1888). Take a return walk back to your hotel or bid farewell to your guide and continue to explore the museum at your leisure.

Venture into the Outdoors
Escape the city and immerse yourself in the storybook charm of the Dutch countryside on a privately guided cycling experience through some of the Netherlands' most picturesque villages. Your day begins with a private transfer to Volendam, where you’ll collect your rental bike and set off through its charming streets. Pedal toward Edam, known for its classic architecture and rich history, then continue to the iconic Kathammer windmill for a photo stop. Ride on to Katwoude and visit the Jacobshoeve farm, where you’ll witness traditional cheese-making and sample freshly crafted cheeses. From there, cycle to the waterfront town of Monnickendam for a delicious lunch at Restaurant De Waegh, followed by a guided stroll through its historic center. Your final leg takes you to the scenic lighthouse of Marken before boarding the Volendam Marken Express for a relaxed boat ride back. Back in Volendam, cap off your countryside adventure by dressing in traditional Dutch attire for a fun and memorable photo session.

A Bit of Time on Your Own
For an iconic Amsterdam experience, head to the Anne Frank House, the former hiding place where Jewish wartime diarist Anne Frank wrote her famed diary during the Nazi occupation of WWII. A heavy, and sorrowful exhibit, the museum tells the history of the eight people in hiding and those who helped them during the war. Anne Frank's diary is among the original objects on display. Please note: Tickets for the Anne Frank House can only be purchased through the official website and cannot be provided by Kensington Tours. It is the responsibility of each client to independently book tickets. Tickets can be purchased on the first Tuesday of the month.
