This morning, depart Windhoek on a scenic 5 hour transfer to Sossusvlei. With your private safari vehicle and guide, you'll drive southwest through the stunning Khomas Hochland highlands before heading down the Great Escarpment into the vast Namib Desert below. A picnic lunch will be served at a picturesque location en-route. You'll arrive at your lodge in the late afternoon.

Lace Up for Some Fresh Air
Set out before sunrise with your professional guide in a private 4x4 safari vehicle. Learn about the history of the park and how the petrified dunes were formed. Track the smaller creatures such as lizards, beetles, and scorpions, as well as the larger desert-dwelling animals like oryx and springbok. With luck, you may see the endemic dune lark or an ostrich. Hike around Sossusvlei before stopping for a tea break. Try to capture the stark beauty of Deadvlei in a photo. Head back to Elim Dune, widely considered the most photogenic, to indulge in an alfresco lunch set up under the shade of a camel thorn tree. Cap off your day with a hike in Sesriem Canyon while your guide explains the history and geology.

A Dazzling Drive
Meet with your guide and depart on a transfer to Swakopmund today. The fascinating drive takes you northwest through the ever-changing desert landscapes of the Namib Naukluft National Park, including the impressive Gaub and Kuiseb canyons. You'll meet the coast at the port town of Walvis Bay, visiting the lagoon to see the interesting mix of pelicans, flamingos and other sea-birds, before continuing north to Swakopmund where you can enjoy the pleasant seaside location and cooler coastal air. Approximate travel time is 6 hours.

This afternoon you'll head out for a private game drive in Etosha National Park. You will see what variety of animals you find throughout the afternoon and into the evening. Watch the sunset, and enjoy a sundowner.
Etosha offers some of the finest stargazing opportunities in Africa. Far from city lights, the vast open landscapes and exceptionally clear desert skies reveal a breathtaking canopy of stars, with the Milky Way stretching brilliantly across the horizon. As the sounds of the African bush settle around you, an evening under Etosha’s night sky becomes a truly memorable experience, offering a rare chance to connect with nature and appreciate the beauty of the southern hemisphere’s constellations.

Where the Wild Things Are
Set out in the morning with your private guide on an exciting game drive through Etosha Game Reserve. Spend the full day enjoying all that it has to offer with a wide range of wildlife. Galton House
The Galton House, named after the famous explorer Sir Francis Galton, has a relaxed but efficient style which creates a very welcoming atmosphere. Impressive wildlife photography adorns the walls whilst the rest of the interior is a combination of modern minimalist and understated chic. A mere ten minute drive from the center of town and perched on the edge of Windhoek's northernmost affluent suburb of Eros, guests staying at the Galton House will be ensured of peace and tranquility. There is Wi-Fi throughout the property and the eight guest rooms all have wired internet connectivity and satellite television. There is a coffee/tea station available in the reception area and these can also be provided in the rooms on request.
